Last Christmas, I got a wristband for my iPod Mini. A few months later, the iPod somehow no longer worked. So I got a new one for Easter. Then a few months later, THAT somehow no longer worked. Dad doesn’t want to get me yet another this coming Christmas.

If it turns green from being licked the metal is cheap.

Snoopy, you are just being polite. The watches of yesterday and today can stand up to a little lick. Linus is being overdramatic. He will get over it after he sees nothing has happen to the watch.

This is one of my favorites, up there with the one where he thinks Snoopy chewed his new bat, but Lucy used it to hit rocks.

It’s a cinch that watches of the 60’s were cheaper ( on average ) than those of today. Got mine in 1967- it lasted all of three weeks. It didn’t help that I stepped on it.

This was even used late 1960’s-early 1970’s as an ad for a waterproof digital watch or something like that.

I wonder what Snoopy would do if I showed him my watch with SNOOPY on it?

I remember learning to tell time on an analog clock many decades ago. I was really proud of myself when I learned how. Now, the skill is moot.

Former CBS newsman John Cameron Swayze used to do those old Timex commercials back in the 50s
