Is Chesney hiding out in NorCal?This is a new neighbor of mine. No one I’ve talk to knows whom his person is. He will answer to “Leo”, at least to the woman that feeds him. She says he’s not hers, he just shows up at 7 am to be fed. But the way this cat talks and acts he’s more of a “Chesney.” He’s very vocal. Anyway he seems to like to hang out with me when I sit outside and read (and drink beer). Or maybe it’s just to watch the humming birds. Yesterday was kind of exciting. He was just stretched out on the walk way he was buzzed by two humming birds doing about 80. I mean they came so close it ruffed his fur. Boy, did he jump. I thought it was a LOL moment and wished I had my camera out. He was not amused.Earlier we were just sitting there when we both saw a squirrel come down off the oak tree. Leo slunk out to hide behind the nearest tree. I’d seen this squirrel before and knew where he wanted to go (the tree where Leo was hiding). So quietly I say to the cat “Wait, he’s coming here.” I wanted to get my camera out but that would spook the squirrel. Sure enough after a couple of minutes Mr. Squirrel got about two feet of the tree. It was right at that point that the squirrel saw there was a cat behind the tree. You should have seen the look on that squirrel’s face. Pounce!High speed chase ensues. By the time I got my camera out and looked around corner of the building the squirrel was well up a tree and a second cat was involved. You hear the squirrel about 40 sec into this video. Angry SquirrelYou’ll notice at the end Leo says “I can have you any time but right now I can’t be bothered.”
Happy 5th birthday to my twin boys, Oliver and Tyler. They’ve had a yummy special breakfast just now. Here they are on their adoption day 11.25.10 (it was Thanksgiving Day, and last night. They have enriched our lives so much.LOVE YOU, GUYS!
Last Rose of Summer – great Chesney pictures. Chesney would be lost without Annie. Beviek – love ‘whatever’ cat. With the look on his face, I wouldn’t disturb him.
The orange one is the one that’s the closest to not being feral. I can pick up the others and hold them but once they are down, they run and huddle together.
I am so beat and so TIRED, read MOST of the comments, I only have time to say, Graham loved today’s strip, and X-Tech, I THINK IT IS ABOUT TIME YOU MAY WANT TO ADOPT THAT GOREGOUS CAT! HUH??? :-), YA’ KNOW?

It’s an odd group. One longhair black. One short hair black. One calico and one orange one. He’s the mouthy one.

I put Moose in the play pen for a while. First he washed a few little heads then they all gathered around for story time.
