Many years ago we had an unintentional pumpkin patch, the seeds from the previous year’s carving sprouted in our mulch pit. One pumpkin grew on the fence and we had to put supports under it so it could grow without breaking off. The best part was that it was perfectly round from not lying on the ground. I weighed it after I hollowed it out and carved it, it weighed 125 pounds. People asked me why I bought such a pumpkin, I loved watching their faces change when I told them that I grew it.
