It took 31 days for the product to arrive (see earlier strip).

I bought into Amway when I was much younger. Never did sell anything though. I’m not the right kind of person for it. But they have great stuff and if a person has the right personality and all , there is a lot of money to be made. But yeah, I think the main objective is to recruit other people. Selling the products is just gravy.

Several years ago, when EPCOT was being constructed here in Florida, a guy named Glen Turner started a business called KOSCOT (Kosmetics for the Kommunities of Tomorrow). A friend tried to lure me into it. I pointed out that for people to make as much money as they claimed selling franchises, everyone in Florida would be a KOSKOT salesman within a year, and everyone in the USA in another year (powers of two can do that to you). Something wrong with the math here - and of course neglected by Willy Millions - no matter how trivial the product, there’s production, publishing, marketing, distribution, insurance, legal (liability) protection… and taxes - always taxes… and what about that champagne? So methinks Roger’s going to have to sell a bit more than 5000 units to become a millionaire.

Well, he’s not going to put in writing the scammers’ secrets, or the rule of not paying taxes. Have the production done on someone else’s stolen credit, and obviously legal protection is only for if you get caught.

jackmatt, you sound like an accountant, or at least someone with a business degree.

That’s really all the example anyone should need.

@musicnut1986 - Gadzooks, have I really descended that far into the morass?? An accountant or business geek? No - just a nerd-nik engineer,, but I did start up my own consulting business a year and a half ago… and spend very little time doing any engineering these days… (sigh… how I miss my equations!)
