Wafting gently on the breeze Comes an aroma that makes Tyr freeze A tantalizing smell of roasted pork Makes him wish he had a fork But the sight that causes a fit Is Hamhock on a spit Will Tyr suffer from gastric distress When invited to the hobo’s mess? Chops, ribs, roast and chitlins galore Are but the remnants of that little boar With biscuits, gravy, and apples, sauced or fried Truly a feast that can’t be denied But oh, what a terrible fate To be served tastily on a plate Can this really to be the end Or will the porker walk again Tomorrows strip is sure to be a winner So goodbye for now, it’s time for dinner.
