Man: The beautiful thing about fall is not so much the frostiness in the air, of the beautiful leaves. It's the total lack of bugs in my drink. Woman: Here's to them, god rest their pesky little souls.
I’ve been splitting wood all week from a tree that was downed by bad weather in a friend’s yard. Every once in a while I find grubs under the bark, snails, black ant nests, and assorted creepy crawlies. I have committed more bug-a-cide this week than any girl normally does in a lifetime. BTW, did you know that if you run out of bug killer Clorox Bleach does wonders?

Good tip! Wouldn’t it be nice if the bugs came out in the winter so that we could garden in peace in the summer?

So happy when the first frost finally gets the ticks and chiggers under control! and gnats. and snakes. I LOVE living in the woods!

In the winter, the bugs come inside. It’s warmer there…
