I once ran into a guy (didn’t hurt him badly) who insisted that there were no original motion pictures; every screenplay ever was adapted from a book. His “evidence”? A novelization of the movie “Rocky.” Never mind that it was one of the thinnest books in history (I think the “photostory” of “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” might have been shorter) or that it came out after the movie (long enough after that it had a later copyright date than the movie), he was convinced it was proof positive that all movies came from books.
