“Shoes of the Fisherman”

I was expecting them to be shoes for the poor. I’m sure the Holy Father would share his shoes if he met another who needed shoes.

I’m not Catholic, but I thought the Pope wore red velvet slippers?

My parish priest always wears sandals when he can. Weather permitting.(Northeasr US, lots of snow)

I love him too, and I’m not even Catholic. By the sheer power of his honesty he is making inroads in ever religion I know of (except perhaps isis) (Yes, I call it a weird religion because it certainly isn’t Islam)I’m looking forward to seeing what Francis will now do for Brother Leo – you know he is going to do something nice.
