Rat and Google are forming a little clique and keeping bing out.

Paris Goat is right; when you least suspect it, search engines will take you to places you don’t want to go and show you things you don’t want to see.:Real friends don’t need content filters.

Good luck, Rat, on getting accepted after sending friend requests to total strangers on Facebook and Myspace.

Ooh, I’d say there is some real uncomfortable Truth in this one.

Unfortunately in this day and age Rat is more right than Goat thinks. At least in this case.

Google doesn’t show me anything I don’t search for, except ads maybe. Go for Reddit!!

Startpage. DuckDuckGo. Google is not your friend, It is a greedy, data-mining, soulless near-monopoly….

Say what you will. My computer is my window on the world!

Those of us who worked before search engines understand just how much they have changed things.

Mr. Google is my best friend. He knows everything. Unfortunately, some of the things that he knows are wrong.

Google won’t bail you out of jail or help you bury that body. So, not really a friend.

But Google will sell your searches and keep track of them. I was an early adopter of it, but now only use DuckDuckGo.

Google wants to be your friend. Google knows everything about you and follows you around wherever you go. Even when you can’t see Google, Google is there watching your every move.

I actually get better results using Bing.

There are plenty of things I struggle to find on google, and some which aren’t easily available on the internet at all. It all depends what you’re learning. Friends can be less good at those tasks, but also they can be better!

unfortunately, we’ll soon need a new word to mean “friend” as opposed to Facebook friend.
