I haven't seen the new exhibit. Have you? It's the biggest thing to come to this museum in a long, long time. Wow! Moondog doesn't usually sound so enthusiastic about the new exhibits!... You are right. I told you. It's a thing. And it's very big.

That about sums it up. It is no doubt a very prestigious “get” for the museum and will draw big crowds who may not know Art but who recognize Something Big as a Big Thing….

Few people realize Meddick understands the brainwashing that makes us think junk is some kind of art. He does a great job spoofing it.

The big thing here is that Moondog has kept this job, and for quite a while now…

One of my art teachers referred to the majority of public sculptures as “the t-rd in the plaza,” and traces their origin to some rich company desiring to put something visible in the public square.
At the same time, the college across town had two or three huge granite rocks named something like “Ninety” and “Forty-Five,” corresponding with the angles at which they sat. A student donned mountaineering gear and made a full ascent of the big one.

Greeting to all readers and commenters.-———-We have several outdoor ‘works of art’ locally. The city paid big bucks for ‘art that rusts’. Go figure.-———-Have a pleasant day, my friends.
