I like the look on the face of the man on the left of panel #1. He’s seen a few Sideline Dads in his time. Kemper will pay for that mistake.

Parents should never be allowed to watch their children play unless duck tape is first administered.

I find that I play better golf when I’m relaxed and happy. Kemper needs to go to his Happy Place. Chubbs, Chubbs, where are you?

Parents should be banned from all pre-college sports where their children are playing. I coached a variety of sports (4th grade through junior high) from 1960 to 2002 and I would still be doing it except for the parents. The mom who thinks her 4’6” 8th grader is going to be the next Shaq, the kid who ducks in fear if you toss him the ball underhanded and his dad who thinks he should starting at shortstop. Also even here in Nebraska 5 over might get you into 20th place. I was at an AJGA tournament a couple of weeks ago and the leading girl was 3 under. These guys need a sports consultant to review their numbers to make sure they are realistic like the movies do for war movies.

Maybe Mr. Kessler can take Kemper to his happy place.

rumpple that’s quite a ridiculous statement. I coached several years myself and you can’t paint all parents with the same brush. I have met many fantastic, supportive parents, many more of those than of the Papa Peake variety. This strip needs to pick it up, its about as exciting as watching the tour de France on TV right now.

Kemper’s sports shrink isn’t doing a very good job.

Rumpple-If you think all parents of young athletes are bad, maybe the problem was with you. I have coached for years, beginners through high school, and seldom had more than one if any problem parents. Kdizzle- actually reading this strip lately is about as exciting as being the score keeper at the soccer World Cup.

kdizzle - unlike this strip, the TDF has a winner every day AND Bob Roll. This strip needs Bob Roll to write the story lines, it would result in Gil Thorp meets Sin City.

I did not say all parents are bad, and there has been an occasional team without a bad egg but there is usually one. When I was a kid there wasn’t any parents involved and we got along just great. My point was you can’t remove the bad egg individually, but if no one can come then you aren’t discriminating.
