Katy: What's that? Adam: A leftover sandwich. Turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce on a roll. There are few things more perfect in the world. Just look at it. Katy: It looks like a pilgrim barfed. Adam: Shh. I need a photo for posterity.

If done right it is a great sandwich combination. You need a good bread to hold it together.

That’s how it’s done in our family. The hostess provides the main course and everybody else brings a side dish and some containers for leftovers.

We always make enough to assure Turkey, Dressing & Cranberry Sauce sandwiches for at least 5 days. The turkey fatigue zone starts to kick in on about day 7.

I scrounge off friends for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and I don’t end up with leftovers. I’ve started cooking small turkey rolls just to have leftover turkey in the fridge!
