    Most of my friends who are retired are busier now than they ever were in the workforce. Hardly have one minute to themselves.

    You spend your entire life working to provide for your family (as either husband OR wife), giving others time to enjoy their hobbies, and then finally get the time to do something yourself…..only to find you’ve never picked up a hobby worth devoting more time to. Don’t despair; just do something. Join a group, buy a trike, see the country – I mean REALLY see the country. Just do something. What you enjoy will make itself known.

    Anyone who can look at this world and not see anything that still needs to be done isn’t looking past the end of their own nose. If you can retire while you still have strength, give it to someone who needs it. Care for someone’s kids while they attend school, help at your local homeless shelter, become a meals on wheels driver. And, be happy that you still can, because it won’t be that long before you won’t have the strength.

    Never enough hours in the day to do all my hobbies: video games, drawing, painting, colouring, making jewelry, reading…
