Rather than a wiffle bat, I’d change metaphors and say righting a disastrous wrong takes a very steady hand on the tiller.

Steve forgot about all our men killed under bush.

A decade of occupation did nothing to achieve peace in Iraq or Afghanistan. Instead it created thousands of converts to the cause of extreme jihad.

Here is the problem – put “boots on the ground” and ISIS will blend back into the population. Unless the US and allies are willing to permanently occupy the Middle East (which would create even MORE terrorists) then more shooting, bombing, etc. is not the answer.

A 2-3 week war to grab Iraq’s oil that will pay for it self now going into the 14th year.

And Dubya Bush told the French President that he wanted to go to War in Iraq because it would bring about Armageddon and the “Rapture” ….

How many of your kids served in the Gulf, Steve? And how many WMDs did they find? And how many ties between Hussein and the Taliban and al Qaeda?

Pretty brave with the lives of other people’s children, aren’t you?

As Obama identifies and kills leaders in the terrorist organizations, that’s more like a sniper, not a whiffle bat. That “W” used massve weapons attacks to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians wasn’t war, but war crimes.

Those who think mass killings or incarcerations, or denial of rights, or denial of refuge to the oppressed, represent “American Values”, have never served in combat to defend this nation, or our values, and know nothing of what those “values” were before we became obsessed with right-wing hate and intolerance, fueled by lies and propaganda. Intersting that the stocks of all arms makers, Lockheed, etc, rose again after the Paris attacks and calls for more wars. Wave the flag of the MIC.

^And let ’em show us how effective carpet bombing proved to be in Viet Nam or Afghanistan; you know, those wars that only lasted six days and we won without a single American loss.

The Bush eagle has a talon full if ISIS/ISIL seeds.
