    And to think Andy was the stern one about Guitar Bob, not the barkeeper.

    Mornin’ Cappers !

    Hope you’re feeling better, Bev, and that your mom’s doing o.k. We miss you !

    @Prof’s hubbie

    Play nice ! No need to act like a troll and stir things up.

    @Number Six

    No matter how much I drink, Guitar Bob’s playing isn’t going to improve. The more he drinks, the better he thinks he plays.If we all drink more, hell, we won’t care how he plays !

    I was a roadie for ten months for a blue guitarist who played local bars around Clarksburg, West Virginia (about as small-time as you can get). He had been my assistant when we both worked at a mall a few years earlier.One night a west coast record company executive came in to the gig. He had somehow gotten on a plane that let him off in Vienna, WV, instead of Vienna, Virginia, near D.C. He had rented a car to get to DC and stopped for the night in Clarksburg.He said he thought well of the guitarist, etc., but in the end, the harmonica player’s girlfriend ran off with the exec, and my father’s cleaning lady (who was also a former tenant of his upstairs apartment) ended up with the harmonica player.Later, I ended up having friends who remembered partying in my van with the guitarist a few years before I knew them.Not so much small world as small town, I guess.

    I ran into the same problem. It turned out to be my AVG program. It was using 50+% of the processor time. I switched to something else and it’s back up to speed now. Pull your’s taskmaster program up and check to see which programs are using up the time. You will probably find out it’s your virus prevention program like I did.

    Wow. Jackie’s in on it too?

    I’m sure I’ll be disliked for this but for the past few days these strips have been funny.

    Still wondering why Jack allows Guitarist Bob to play in his pub at all.

    You can complain as much as you like. We are always going to use this forum as our personal chat space. We are all friends here. No, scrap that. We’re FAMILY.Nobody is pointing a gun to your head and forcing you to read our comments.Unless you are too senile to realise. You can always “scroll” past the comments you don’t want to read.This is my last message to you.

    Oh, innkeeper. If you don’t like Guitar Bob. Why don’t you show him the door.
