I’m rather fond of today’s toon. It’s a throwback from last year’ “SECOND THANKSGIVING” when the Pilgrim said: “I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving already!” I like these little departures from the “real” characters. Hope you do too.T

Back in October? Let me see – 2+2+3+1=8. At least, to the best of my memory, there were 8 of us – no, there were 9, I forgot someone.

Beviek – what would Tony do without you? Tony – I enjoy the departures from the ‘real’ characters. Breaks it up a little. We had eight at Thanksgiving – down a few this year. Funny how it changes. some years there are 15 – 20 and other years just a few. It is always enjoyable.

I took a good book and went out to Golden Corral. It was busy, but not overly so when I arrived a bit before 1 p.m. When I left, the line was out the door. Got to remember to go early again next year.

We had 11 at the first stop and 14 at the second stop.

1st Thanksgiving (and only for about 200 years) – 1673: Mass. Colony Governor John Winthrop orders a Feast of Thansgiving in honor the safe of volunteer miltia from the massacre of more than 700 men, women & children of the Pequot nation.

We only had 6 to start, a 7th came later. Three couldn’t make it from out of town.

Just hubby, me, and our two sons. Which was nice.

Is he saying they’re inviting Uncle Frank and the guy who helped plant the corn, or did the guy who helped plant the corn also help plant Uncle Frank?Aside from the fact that I had about the worst night’s sleep ever before Thanksgiving (in fact, IIRC, I didn’t get to sleep at all), this Thanksgiving was a really good one for my wife and me — and about 18 other family members. And they all stayed for hours, even after they finished eating; so apparently, they all really enjoyed themselves.
