Tracy? Yes, he’s on his way down in the harness, soon to be passed by the Hangman without a harness……but at least having contributed more to his capture than Tracy did, lol.
Wow! What a powerful set of art these three panels are! All tight shots, all meaningful. And a textbook cliffhanger, too (although I think most of us— Bobarion excepted—are confident that Tracy will survive, but probably The Hangman not)….
The action we’ve seen for the past several days, has been absolutely fabulous! And for those who just don’t like the B&W, you might do what I do, even I like the B&W. Read the strip twice, once here, and once at Comics Kingdom, which has the same strip in color.
Good morning, all.I still don’t know who the Hangman is. I know Orlock is the best suspect, but he’s dead (I think). The writer Austin is the only one I can think who hates Tracy, and the victims’ deaths have barely slowed production, much less halted it.Besides, after killing the agent, shouldn’t the writer have been next?
Terrific artwork. This could’ve worked as a wordless strip — and it nearly is one. Very dramatic. I do miss the color, but the glare of the klieg lights would render the scene much the way it appears here, anyway. Hang on, everyone!
I hope the people who are disappointed when Tracy sits around his office a lot are enjoying this because I think this is one of the best action sequences I can remember in any recent Tracy strip.
I think Tracy slipped out of the noose and he would be able to put it on The Hangman’s neck and you know what will happen next…All the B/W strips will be colored tomorrow. Save a copy if you prefer to see it in B/W
I don’t think the noose can do any damage because it isn’t connected to anything. Yesterday’s strip shows the rope falling freely with the two of them. Only Tracy is connected through his harness.
AN OPEN LETTER TO GO-COMICS:Dear GC staff: Without people to read the ads that different people pay you to post, your adsvertisers are wasting their money. A robust readership is what your advertising clients pay and pray for. When Mattie, SDM, Bassmanbob, Sparkydog77,Otto, Marg, and countless others were here, the liveliness attracted participants. Mattie, alone, could pack a SRO stadium like no other. The entertainment factor outshined the content of the strip. That’s what attracted me. What’s happened is that the PC management and schoolhouse hall monitoring has taken a toll on the vivacity of the site. Note the participation now. We were used to over a hundred comments a day and they were entertaining. I even remember a 200 day. No one really took it seriously. Now I ask you this: do your advertisers want to see 50 comments a day or 150? They pay your salaries; not us. Even Avenger09, one of our accomplished wits, has made himself scarce. Do yourself and your advertisers a favor; ask them back.Thank you. Morrow

@JonahHex:“Who will DIE…….?”The Hangman, of course, but that would be giving away the plot……

Unless Tracy can hold on to him and Hangman doesn’t try to shoot him!
The Hangman can’t shoot him. If you check the middle panel of yesterday’s strip, you’ll see that The Hangman dropped his gun.Neil Wick almost 9 years ago

Gould Naming Traditions …
It just occurred to me that “Orlock” is a homophone of “Oarlock” – That little gimlet which holds an oar in place as one rows.
Certain types greatly resemble a hangman’s noose …
