Woman in blue: You have the right to remain obtuse. Anything you opine can, and more than likely will, offend me.
Caption: Miranda's reading of the media rights.
Door reads: Editorial Dept.
You know, the last time I read the Constitution and it’s amendments, I didn’t see anywhere that I was prohibited from offending anyone; nor does the government have the right to prevent me from offending anyone.
Democracy is tough. It would work far better with a more rational, reasonable, intelligent population. According to a Gallup Poll: More than four in 10 Americans continue to believe that God created humans in their present form 10,000 years ago, a view that has changed little over the past three decades. How can we expect to make informed decisions as a people if so many of us are that ignorant of and/or hostile to science?
The TV news media, at least has managed to turn the San Bernadino alleged terrorist attack into a reality TV show, According to them nothing else happened in the world for several days.
Funny how we see the right just the way they see us; in a constant state of faux outrage. They have as much, or more political correctness to be offended.
I am not offended by editorials. What we all should be offended about is editorial agendas impressed on pseudo-reporters so that the news is filtered. Kind of like the pseudo- scientists in Bolder, Colorado that changed historical data to match a particular theory of oceans rising.
Once upon a time I could send a copy of this to my local evening paper but now that does not exist and the morning paper is afraid of alienating what’s left of the reading public.OTOH I am offended by the milquetoast approach.
I can’t imagine where you got the idea that Sharia law got anything from Leviticus.
Sharia applies not only to Muslims but also those who don’t believe, and ensures that those who nonbelievers who live among believers have very few rights. Muslims believe that Sharia was either given directly by Allah, or was written by his prophet.
Levitus pertains to the Levites, the original priestly clan among the ancient Jews, and deals with how to follow the rules of the covenant for Jews only. It contains a lot of instructions for the priests on how to make sacrifices on behalf of the people under various circumstances and does contain directions to the people themselves. It was never meant to be used against those who do not profess Judaism.
