Seems Aggie is destined to remain single, just as she said two days ago. Historically she ignores poor Chubb who adores her and now she would not go anywhere with Eddie Coogan. Can’t blame her for that, apart from all his other faults, Coogan is a rival for the affections of Minnie Peters, Ginger’s girlfriend. Seems he will have to sort himself out in the not too distant future.
Runs with Beer: That is an Australian Rules football Ginger is holding, the game is played with an oval ball.
Andrew Pilcher: Australian Rules Football is played on a circular pitch at its headquarter ground. I’m not a great authority on the game but the size and shape does change a bit from ground to ground.
The game’s great Australian home, the Melbourne Cricket Ground is circular. Ok, ok, I know, funny name for it, typically Australian, we do give redheads the nickname of ‘Blue’. Check it out on Google-earth as Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Depending on which version you have it may show the obsolete set-up for the Commonwealth Games or you may see the latest 3D version which shows all the markings for Australian Rules Football.
Move about 200 yard East and you will see the Richmond Footbal Ground (in the same parkland) which is a wierd shape.
Move 7 miles due east and I will run outside and wave to you from my backyard.

Dark gray is the new black, and if you’re color blind, well, green is the new red, etc. etc.

Howdy.
That one’s gonna leave a mark.
Well, that would explain why I can’t read the graffiti some of the time.

Since Ginger has a rugby ball in P1, is “footy” another name for rugby?

Australian rules football I think. Am I right in thinking it’s played on an oval pitch, or am I confusing it with Quidditch?

Sad - no “Otra” here, nor on “Elderberries”. What gives?
