lager, I hope you mean panel 4 since 3 doesn’t have Petey. But I like that stance, too - it shows him having both a since of control AND sympathy. Good on him.

Andre would never make it as a printer then.

Doc, there’s a couple of ways around it.

My niece stuck with pencil drawings for years after I was trying to get her to start inking, but I eventually found out she was scanning her pencil drawings into the computer and finishing them up there. (She has since started working in ink as well, but she was capable of turning out “finished product” without it.)

It seems most likely that he’s allergic to printer’s ink but not india ink (the fumes are certainly more pervasive, because of the quick-drying chemicals), or specifically to colored inks. My sister’s 6th-grade teacher would faint if anyone uncapped a magic marker too close to her.

Or maybe he finishes his art with a grease pencil.

Or maybe it’s just Andre’s personal tragedy that he’s irresistably drawn to a profession that’s bad for his health… That sort of “fatal flaw” would be highly appropriate for someone who sees the world in terms of heroic adventure.

    I’m entertained by Loris’s karate-chop position in panel 2.

Comics used to be my passion until about 5 years ago. I have over 13,000 of them, all in individual bags and boards, in more than 50 boxes. I also have a catalog of them. Now, all I do is pay for the storage unit they are in and dream about finding someone who might want them.

^ And clearly you have no interest in comics any more.

Look at Loris in her ninja pose! Keep those comics at bay! And I’m guessing Little Neuro must be in all black and white since he doesn’t seem to stimulate Petey’s allergies…or maybe it’s just so utterly boring it doesn’t stimulate anything!

RT has shown a few panels of Little Neuro in the past. Those were in color, but since it takes place by moonlight the tones were very cool and muted. Deep blues and purples, not a lot of garish reds, greens, or oranges. Very restful.
