The tv series Wild Wild West started “steam punk” in the late 1960’s. The best thing about the stinker of a movie “WWW” has steam-punk fantastic machines just this side of possible in the middle to late 1800’s. The amphibious tank, the auto-prison with magnetically attracted flying buzz saw discs and the crowning glory—-the 80ft “Spider” that fired plasma bombs that destroy Silverado city. (Yes that “Silverado”.)
