Ralph: I always dread taking down the Christmas lights. Climb up the ladder, climb down the ladder, move the ladder, climb up again... This year I got smart and hung all the lights at ground level!
I don’t put mine on the ground. They would be buried in snow now. I do put them on the porch railings, where I can reach them without a ladder. I put them up on a warm day last month, and will take them down on a warm day, whenever it comes.
Not sure why people take down their decorations this early. Christmas is not over yet – it runs until January 6th. Leave them up at least until Christmas is over!

We had ten inches of snow on Sunday and another 6 to 8 inches are due again today here in northern Maine.

Understand that the crazy weather is caused by El Nino. Supposed to be worse come January 7.

We put ours on our bushes and trees.
