I sense a disturbance in the Force! My mind has images of a son who is losing practically all interest in golf and wishes his father wasn’t so over-bearing.

Stbs, I know Yoda, he is a good freind of mine, you are no Yoda.

Who is the sheik in P3 with the towell around his head.

Could that be the missing Thorp kid in P3?

Check out Dad’s posture in P1. Arms folded, judgemental. Check out Gil in P3. Encourager. It’s safe to say this is the classic humble pie ending and Gil is serving it piping hot.

Looks like Kemper’s dad parachuted in for the tourney in P1. He never took off the pack.

What are the odds that a father as controlling as this would let his son wear a Mohawk?

Hey, in P3 isn’t that the same kid that was biting Torry’s shoulder? Didn’t he have freckles a couple of days ago? If he’s Gil and Mimi’s missing son, where is his sister?

I am stunned that Marty Moon did not leave his crapshcack/studio to cover the Junior tourney at the MILFord CC! Surely he could blame Himler, Kemper or who evers poor performance on Gil! Tony Peel

By the look on Gil’s face in P-3, it looks as though he had some bad Mexican food form the night before and is squeezing out the farts “high and tight”. Is Gil wearing a jumpsuit?

HooDad - that’s not a sheik, that kid is sporting one of those throw back “Panama Jack” hats that has the tails on the back of it form the mid-to late 80’s. The only thing he is missing now are those “fly” galsses with the strings on and leather side covers.

Are those butt-less chaps that Kemper is wearing in Panel 1?

I think they are teasing us. I believe that the Thorps kids are both in P3. The daughter is just over Gil’s right shoulder, and the boy in the bottom of the panel is their son.

It might just turn out that Gil and Mimi didn’t have the money for private schooling so they put the kids into a work program ( easier then sending them overseas to a sweatshop ) where they both live and work at the golf course and this way Gil and Mimi get all the money..

In closing I agree with HooDad. I am sorry I just don’t see the father allowing a mohawk.

rallen - i think it’s the same kid as last week in P3 but given the utterly blank stare and crazed smile it looks like the Gil Father has turned him into one of his “Children of the Corn”.

P3, is Gill’s thumb on his right hand stuck in his liver or gall gladder?

Since we have not seen Mr.Peake’s full face, I believe that those glasses he is wearing indicate that he is in fact blind, and therefore not aware of Kemper’s rebellious ‘do.

Kemper’s golf bag appears to be floating in midair in P1. Maybe Papa Peake should encourage his son’s obvious scientific genius instead of his golf.

You people are hilarious! Thank you. BTW, are any of those who comment here and there or regularly on Gil Thorp women?? Or are all the above men? That’s ok, but sometimes commenting on the strip could use a woman’s insights.
