Tick, tock. Tick, tock. I love golf but, this storyline should have a short shelf life. How about Kemper going Bobby Boucher and tackling Old Man Peake, knocking the old fart to New Thayer. Gil and Kaz are impressed and ask Kemp to go out for the 2010 Mudlark Football team. Too far fetched? Hey, it could happen.
jterran….Cartesian coordinates in three dimensions.
Explained…writing as in a letter with a pen… “x” axis moving the pen horizontally, “y” axis moving the pen vertically, “z” axis lifting the pen away from the paper or pushing it through the paper.
Thus position Z, he can’t hit the ball any other direction than up.
In P3 it looks like the old man had his kid barcoded on the right side of his head. That’s why he lets him wear the mohawk. I haven’t seen that before.
There’s a real cruelty in this adventure of Gil’s, something you don’t often see in comics. I have seen parents like Carl Peake at sporting events - abusing their own kids, the other kids, the referees, and even each other. Ballet mothers are the same.
And the child beauty conests.

Carl better hope Kemper doesn’t get drawn against Bobby Wyatt in the next round, not even the Gilfather will be able to help.
@davidblack Bobby Wyatt shot a 14-under par 57 yesterday at the Alabama State boys jr championship. His Dad must be way more creative than Carl.

Who is Bobby Wyatt?

Good to hear from you yesterday Jennifer!
The artists are outdoing themselves today dimples in P1.
Stiles knows all about Mr Peake me thinks.

Kemper will win match play but will be DQ’d when someone catches Carl Peake cheating.
rumpple over 14 years ago
Kemp will call a penalty stroke on himself for dad’s coaching and lose the match just to piss off the old man.

@grshprnh Strong work. I had no idea what position Z meant.

Admittedly I’m not too up on golf. What club is recommended for bending over a father’s head?

I would love to see that! It might just be enough to get the old man off his bleeep back.
Setebos
I would think that around the neck might be a better choice.

Yes, grshprnh, I learned something there as well. Who’da thunk this strip would be referencing three-dimensional cartesian coordinates?
JerryPulver over 14 years ago
I too suspect old man Peake of “helping” those ball positions. I wonder if a golf course has security cameras?

Chris knows something isnt right. How long before Kemp says enough is enough and just quits altogether? Carl is a moron!
b8tzm over 14 years ago
Carl is using his “hand & foot wedges” hope he ends up in the pond
WallyCuppaJoe over 14 years ago
Yeah, Happy Gilmore. Bob Barker come on down and knock the bleeep outta Old Man Peake.
AmericanJones over 14 years ago
Part of Kemper’s problem may be due to health issues as it appears that he has a goiter in P3.

You can only talk to your caddy………………….. oh, they don’t have any.
