The sound of his voice puts you in a flight or fight state so often you just shut down completely when he starts his narcissistic rants. There was a ‘pastor’, not really-self proclaimed, who lectured me for the entire drive to a Bible study about how important she is because I made a mistake that made her a minute late, if that. IF she really was a believer, she wouldn’t have even thought it. The worst ‘Christians’ are the ones who are in it to control and manipulate, not really Christians. My problem is that I was constantly giving them the benefit of the doubt.
