Tom was honored for his invention of the locking neck brace. He was already famous for winning a large settlement for hurt feelings. And he’s taken on the case of the guy whose ancestors were evicted without notice from some garden or other. Tom always goes for the deep pockets.
Burl’s head looks extra weird in this older strip……..like a Schmoo (from ’Lil Abner) who shaved off his face whiskers, found and donned some Lennon specs, and grew some peach fuzz behind his head. And he probably did just “cut one”….!!!!!…….
