Personally, I think John made a wise decision. Heaven only knows what goes into the food the Penny’s eat. The get it all at the Dollar Dump, and it is either Test Market stuff nobody liked, or stuff that is 2 years out of date.<s[ace>The leftover roast was so freezer burned that it resembled a blackened football.

I hate to side with Burl…. and it’s true that John may have hit upon a ruse to lower his intake of Joy’s “cooking.”Self-preservation is an over-riding concern when dining chez Penny.

But away from Crustwood, I’d be very annoyed by a dinner guest who told me he purposely took extra of the food I’d splurged on and specially prepared for company…just to have more on his plate than he planned to eat, so I could throw it in the trash.Goodbye, little roast beef slice… you’d have made a nice sandwich, tomorrow… if only…If you want to eat less, take a smaller portion….leave more in the serving dishes for others to enjoy.

There seems to be an epidemic of self-satisfied people who think they’re perfect role models for the rest of us. Well, doctor or yoga instructor, vegan or diet faddist…please don’t turn my dinner table into a demonstration of your smug superiority, or abuse my hospitality to give me unsolicited life lessons.

Well rest assured the food didn’t go to waste, rather their waist. They just out it away for a mid night snack of some sorts..
