okay I side with Burl on this. I have had this happen more then a few times with these types. They will hog the counter for 15 minutes to a half hour while everyone else is waiting. I learned to walk back out and go someplace else when these type are in front of me.
I can understand why there is only one penny in the Children’s Charity Fund. I never donate to those containers because you can’t trust that the money would really get to the charity and not some store employees pocket.
On the rare occasion when I buy a lottery ticket it’s because I figure I can spare $1 and I figure the few seconds it takes me to scratch off the ticket is worth $1. I’ve never spent more than $1 when I do buy a ticket, and on the rare occasion I actually win a couple bucks I put it in my wallet and walk off. Actually it’s been about 5 years since I bought a ticket, but I still live by those rules.
