Actually had a situation like that this week. Restaurant very crowded and backed up, we a party of 6 waiting over 40 minutes. Hostess says a table just paid and should be leaving soon. Twenty minutes later their still there. My friend and I walk over and ask how long they’ll be. Five minutes later they are gone.

Once the waiter saw that Burl’s pants were on fire, there was no need to hurry. They’re gonna wait a long time for that coffee.
