Plain old vanilla? How boring. There was only one place where I liked to get just vanilla. There was an ice cream place here years ago that had what was called Crazy Vanilla. The flavor was just vanilla, but it was white, blue, yellow, and pink. Somehow it tasted better than anyone else’s vanilla. Unfortunately it’s gone now.
They don’t make plain vanilla anymore. I was at the grocery store the other day and wanted plain vanilla. They had vividly vanilla, artisan vanilla and simply vanilla but not a plain vanilla.
I myself like variety. Mint chocolate chip is my favorite.
I’m surprised Burl didn’t ask to sample each flavor and then end up buying nothing.

No, we don’t have vanilla.
It’s too vanilla.

My little sister used to do this!
Not at a table, but when it was her turn at the order counter….
ahead of a dozen or two waiting patrons…She’d ask the poor server to read her all the flavors….
even though my Dad had just done that….
and then she’d order a single scoop of vanilla.
And obviously, not as a grown-up.
By the time she was old enough to read the list herself,
She knew it would be rude.
Hear that, Burl?

Sure, I’ll bring you some vanilla. And for free, I’ll personally put some nuts on it.
