I kind of have an issue with that Wendy’s “fresh – never frozen” thing. I’d prefer it either freshly ground from beef with history I know, or flash frozen and without being kept red with carbon monoxide. I don’t care about the carbon monoxide, but I’d rather know from the grey color that it wasn’t ground that morning.

I also ask the seafood counter for what they have thawed under the glass, but in still frozen and in the original bag, if possible. They sometimes feature fresh Dover sole. I don’t like to think about how long that’s been, caught, fileted, toted to the airport, flown to South Texas, trucked around all day to the store.

I hadn’t gone to Red Lobster in about 15 years but we decided to go one afternoon a couple of months ago. For the price, you get very little food. I’m not a fan anymore.

Somehow I get the feeling Red Lobster costs quite a bit more than Bonanza.

Don’t buy shrimp from either of those places. The industry is riddled with forced slavery. Buy farm raised in the US and frozen.
