    Humility should be recognized, and praised to the skies.

    Is humility and humble about the same thing?

    Am I the only one here cynical enough to doubt Broomie’s humility?

    (Please don’t tell her what I just said!)

    Broomie’s right,they’d better be in awe of her humility because she’s got a ZAP that makes Zeus jealous!

    Hm, William, you and C.S. Lewis are thinking along the same lines. He had Screwtape advise Wormwood to induce the state of mind in his human “patient” as follows: “By Jove, I’m being humble!” (and be proud of it, of course).

    @N7326 Foxtrot re Lawnchair balloons

    @bald 716 re Mythbusters lifting girls with balloons

    Yah, Mythbusters did both.

    They hoisted Adam Savage in a lawn chair with about 40 to 50 weather balloons.

    That event wasn’t a myth btw, it actually happened in Long Beach, CA. The guy’s name was Larry Walters.

    Mythbusters also hoisted one of the camera guy’s little 4 year old girl (weighing 44 pounds) with about 3500 toy balloons.

    edit Wikipedia says Savage only needed 16 weather balloons, altho Walters had 45. Maybe the Mythbusters had access to larger balloons.
