Back when the US imported tons of clothes from Japan (this was a long time ago; we now get clothes from China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia and many other countries) a factory town was named Usa so that they could put “Made in Usa” on the label. I actually saw a few of those.

Not everything foreign is truly foreign. Some foreign cars that are assembled in the US are actually more American made.
