Just like you can’t see Rover, I don’t think the reindeer are going to see their crackers . . .

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas everyone.

Any chance that Rover might be contemplating a sneak downstairs to check out the saltines?

To the best of my memory we never set anything out for Santa. We were raised celebrating the birth of Christ. Not celebrating a fictional person. All the same, I brought my kids up knowing both and we did have milk and cookies out for the spirit of Christmas.

you’re celebrating a fictional person too – we all have the options either way.

My mother hated milk and my father was lactose intolerant. Mom told us after we grew up (dad has passed) that he ate the cookies and, rather than dump the milk, he drank it all just like Santa should do. It was such a wonderful, unseen and unknown gesture!

Santa’s reindeer will love you guys all the more for your thoughtfulness; but let us not forget the real reason we celebrate Christmas…
