I’ve been around the internet since 1991, and I can say that there were trolls and jerks in abundance even then.

We all know that all those comments were from just one person. Er, animal. Rat.

I thought this strip was exposing Goat and Pig’s lurid pasts that included prison time but then I remembered they know Rat. Everything they know about prison came from visiting hours…

One must remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder……………..

“Internet” and “nice people” should never appear in the same sentence, you stupid Pig ;)

Yep. pretty much any chatroom seems to make people think they can be as rude as they want and they’ll never get punished for it. Unfortunately, they are pretty much correct.

Some people just seem to exist to do that, in order to feel better about themselves. They would have much less chances if they had to do it only face-to-face, but on the Internet you are given the glorious opportunity to be as much of an obnoxious jerk as you want without much consequence other than maybe getting your online persona banned by being too obnoxious. But then it’s just on to the next online forum to do the same thing. What fun!! eyeroll

All true as far as it goes, Goat and Pig. But, Goat, maybe your best writing really isn’t all that good; I’d guess it is in fact rather dry and pedantic….

the best way to use the internet is to NOT READ the comments. that way your self image, self esteem, paranoia(s), opinions, and blood pressure can be ‘normal’

I recently joined a model making website that promised to “be gentle” when critiquing your work. Can’t help noticing though that the only models put up for critique are stunningly beautiful!

What’s sad is, the folks who criticize your work, can’t do any better, but are just so happy to trash yours.
