Your warm thoughts are well intentioned, & embraced. My advice from past debacles is never visit malls/stores & postoffices on Dec. 26. Mayhem from returning/exchanginggifts, & sending out belated parcels. Better to wait until early next week, or even Jan. 2 when hangovers keep many sidelined.
And the even bigger present is when he says, “You sit back and relax. I’ll clean everything up and I don’t want to hear any arguments about it”. Then, a kiss and he cleans everything up.
