Somewhere along the line, the point system changed. When I was in high school, an A was 1, B was 2, etc. 7 years later when I went back to college, A was 4, B was 3 etc.
I thought a girl I once dated was really dim when she told me that she thought that if the average of a set of numbers was “4” that meant there were more “4s” in the set than any other number. However, I learned later that there is actually a mathematical term for what she described, but it’s called the “mode” not the “average.”
