I read recently that four out of five hundred dollar bills tested positive for traces of heroin or cocaine.

I can’t verify that since it has been ages since I’ve even SEEN a hundred dollar bill.

Paper money needs to be cleaned and pressed routinely. It has germs all over it and gets sooo wrinkled. I have a friend who performs this valuable public service for a small fee.

Get and watch a copy of “MR 880” with Burt Lancaster & Edmund Gwenn & Dorothy McGuire. Inept counterfitter caught because he misspells “WASHINGTON” (b&w)

It’s not illegal to make “tenties”.

Having worked as a banker for over 20 years, the last 5+ as Security Officer, I can tell you that most counterfeits are fairly amateurish. A good teller will recognize them immediately. That’s why the crooks don’t usually try to pass them at banks. They go to retail businesses that handle a lot of cash at a rapid pace, like convenience stores and gas stations.
