Our yard adjoins five others, all fenced. There are dogs in all the yards, and our dogs react differently to each. The two on the north and the one on the northwest are best buddies with our two. One on the west is all nervous and the other is just a pup, all play and noise. The two on the southwest are yappers, and of the two on the south, one is silent and keeps completely to himself; the other bounces like a out-of-control spring and barks like crazy. Until ours squat to do their business. Then he goes silent, sits politely with his front paws together, and waits. When they’re finished, he’s up and off again. Every time. What a riot. It’s why I love dogs.
