Shouldn’t the fat in Garfield’s body and fur thereon keep him warm?

Yeeeep. That’s the downside of snow; it only comes when it’s cold.

I’d sure love to head out into that winter wonderland.

A memory: When I worked in a department store, I had a couple of co-workers, Frankie & Dawn. Dawn, Frankie, Frankie’s husband & baby son had just moved to NH from southern CA. They had never seen snow. The first snowstorm we had after they moved up, we were all at work. Frankie saw the snow (the store wasn’t due to open for another 1/2-hour), and she ran outside, dancing in the falling snow. A few seconds later, she ran back inside and said, “D*MN! It’s COLD!!!” I said, “Yes, Frankie; that’s why it’s called ‘snow’.”

If Odie had been standing on the back of the sled in the first panel, it would have be a great tribute to two of the favorite themes from Calvin and Hobbes

I keep saying we should slip on the X-country skis. my wife, who was an avid downhill skier, says it’s to cold. :(

Garfield is getting old… I feel the same about snow now, but I use to enjoy it immensely, especially when I skied. (Note the past tense.)

Snow is fun up to the time when dad tells you to shovel the walks and driveway.

Where I live, this strip is truthful; it actually snowed last night, and the current temp is 7.

Fantasy vs. reality, reality wins.
