He’s only acting submissively. Dogs will do that if they sense their owners are (or will get—hence our “guilty” interpretation) angry. If Liv was in that stance when he walked in the room, it could trigger that behavior.
Definitely not funny. Treating a dog like that will ruin him faster than almost anything else.
