Thank you to everyone who says they like my posts. I get a big kick out of posting them.I hope they brighten your day!Our snow was Camelot Snow again, looked pretty for a couple of hours, then it was gone. Drat.I know if we had piles of it for months I would be not happy, but I love to look at it,,,,sigh. That’s what you get growing up in SoCal where 64 degrees is considered “winter”.We are supposed to have low 40s and high 30s all week and no rain! But that also means no snow.
We had big fluffy flakes for over an hour yesterday, and the entire Owens Valley is white!! And icy, I had to scrape and chisel it off my windows 2 hours later to drive home all of 6 blocks. So beautiful, even though it is only about an inch at most.
So two of the cats are going on an adventure. Should be interesting. Beviek – cute little videos. I don’t think dogs understand cat play. Last Rose – escaping cats are too funny. Hope the one falling off the roof made it okay. Love the sitting cats, too. More Cats Than Sense – great insight into The Cat. And cute pictures. Happy – of course you found an escaping bunny. Cute! ***We are knee deep in snow. It is going to be in the teens for at least the next week, so the snow is not leaving any time soon. If you ski or do other winter sports, come to North Idaho or Washington.
Dry and Happyx3, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I sat down for a couple of minutes to rest and thought I would check Ten Cats. I am going to need a vacation when this is done. At least the weather is supposed to be good next Monday. I just need to be 3 people and in a lot better shape. Keep thinking good thoughts. At least with the trip at Christmas out of the way, my blood pressure has gone down where it needs to be so I don’t have to worry about that on top of everything that is happening, I get moved, it should be way down and the doctor won’t have to mention it again. Right now, no appointments or anything on the horizon so I can concentrate on the move.Well, back at it. A friend will be bringing more boxes tomorrow and my cat sitter will be here on Friday to help box. She got back from Belize yesterday so she should be well rested. :-)Later gang and again thank you!!!
MCTS – I think I’m going to print each informative picture and make up a little booklet or something for people thinking about adopting a cat can look at. It might answer questions they have or teach them something they never knew. TYVM for posting them.
Apropos of nothing here… True story.I was in Walmart looking to buy a new leash for Sweetheart.Walking past the ladies clothing section I noticed a little old lady and an older little old lady. They were walking past a display of very VERY lacy frilly panties. The little old lady said, “… Don’t you like the frills?”.The older little old lady said, “No. They tickle.”.
Interesting that it says cats don’t meow to each other. Big Man sometimes meows – little short peeps – to Bucky, and he used to chirp to the late, great Whiskers all the time, even though she was quite deaf the last couple of years and couldn’t hear him.
The White Mountains!!!!. Got lots of memories there. My father was in on the building of the Barcroft station and the cosmic ray lab on the peak. Been there many a time. A great mtn range.
I am across from Williamson and I can see a little of the Whites from my front yard. They sure do pick up lots of snow, sometimes they seem to get more than the Sierra. I don’t hike the 14ers, I had migraines for 35 years and don’t trust that elevation. 12000 is high enough.

More Cats Than Sense:If a cat has 26 Hertz, no wonder it needs to purr to relieve the pain!

26Hz is also the frequency of an idling Diesel motor.
