Of course, the real joke – or irony – is that today, 30 years later, in 2016, the whole nation (planet?) is completely digitized. We’re all walking around with all sorts of i-Devices and children are being raised on tablets etc etc etc … Mr. Breathed’s gag about the rampaging Banana computer has become reality, as the digital monsters have overtaken every aspect of our lives … just saying …

I am about the age of Gene Simmons. The PC of choice way back in the 50’s and 60’s was the IBM Manframe computer. Back then it was the 360, took a fairly large building and cost a couple of million dollars to own and run.

He may not have had a computer, but he used his banana plenty of times.

Did you read about the kid who was gaming on an iPad and charged $5,900 to his fathers account in 6 days! Yes, get them a computer.

My generation is left behind,, but then again my fathers and grand fathers replaced the horse with tractors.

1985—I do sympathize with Gene’s mother. Perhaps she could not afford a Banana Junior 6000, known for ease of operation and very high cost….

Since Gene is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of a quarter billion dollars, and supports loads of impoverished kids in Africa, veterans, etc; never drinks, smokes or uses drugs and is a fantastic father – your kids could do worse than to emulate him.

Leftists cannot abide the wayward. Similarly, Cosby did more for race relations in the US than anyone in history. Even a flawed vessel can deliver good wine.

Today Gene today is a multi-millionaire and has slept with a thousand women, today the Banana Junior is a door stop…if it hasn’t been recycled in China into microwave ovens.

He’s filthy rich. I’d say he’s smarter than given credit for. The makeup was just an act after all.

The irony is that NO ONE of Gene Simmons’ generation had a computer at home. They PC did not yet exist.
