Barbara: Mom! Marmaduke wasn't done fly catching that fly. Dog Gone Funny: Pleasant Plain, OH. The grismers have two boxers, Gershwin and Koko. When Gershwin hurt her for paw, she licked it. When she stopped licking it Koko began licking it. She had to get her licks in, too!

Our old terrier used to catch flies until one buzz was a bee and she started running from buzzing flies.

I never had to buy a flyswatter while my scotty was around. She could catch a bug in seconds. Didn’t matter bee or fly or something crawly, the dog caught and ATE it! I think it came about from a game I played with her once when she was a puppy. There was a small moth on our deck and I went out and poked at it (it wouldn’t fly and I was trying to determine what kind of moth it was) and Pepper was all excited laying flat on her belly and barking at it till it slipped into a crack and we couldn’t see it anymore.
