The goofy comics are the unknown production geniuses. Snake and his dad, Snake Senior, were Oscar co-winners with Ray Harryhausen for animation and model armature work. IMDB lists Snake and Snake Sr. credits for special effects and creatures in all of the “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” movies and TV seasons.
