In an age when most cartoonists do their lettering by computer, I appreciate the fact Scully letters each strip by hand. That kind of craftsmanship is rare nowadays.
It’s important to note that Scully doesn’t shun the use of technology in his art, though. Even though he still meticulously hand letters each strip, he uses a computer program to put spaces between the words.
