She heard right.

For a long time I was misled by Lila’s shallowness into thinking that this strip was just as shallow. But the evolving storylines have changed my mind, and today’s strip is a brilliant and poignant mix of pathos and satire. Congratulations, F & R!

Don’t blame the shrink. Do you work for free? Now that my health plan has stopped paying my shrink (thank you Washington), I appreciate that clock ticking towards that 50 minute hour. As I empty my wallet while the doc fills in the next appointment card, I know if I wasted the doctors and my time. Yes Drew, it’s responsibility.

go to a psychiatrist, not a psychologist…

I HATE when that happens with my therapist!

A psychiatrist is always a medical doctor who has specialised in treating mental diseases, a psychologist has had special training in counselling but is not always a doctor.

Maybe this sort of rude awakening to reality is just what Drew needs. At least it stopped her shifting the blame on to Lila.
