The two kids are much more likeable now that we’ve met their father. I wonder if they’ll quit golfing as a rejection of Carl’s poor attitudes. Gil will certainly de called on as “deus ex machina” to break the impasse. These stories are good! And they just get better and better.

OK - I thought Carl always played by himself - who’s he betting with and why is he cheating?

If it wasn’t against the Gil Father code, Thorp would play Carl for big $$$ and clean him out.

Carl plays by himself because he cheats. Will this all bring a change in Carl’s attitude as Gil teaches him to be a good parent? Nooooooooo… Gil and Mimi sent their kids to military school evidently so don’t count on him for lessons in raising a happy family.

I like how Carl has managed to keep his haircut in spite of his dad. He must have a good backbone.
