I believe that any “sport” where the outcome is based on subjective standards, such as style points, is not worth watching.

I watched the Fischer-Spassky match on PBS in 1972. The commentators were in a studio waiting for each move to be wired from Iceland. Quite exciting.

I watch golf and cage fighting; talk about diametrically opposed.

I avoid figure skating after my Dad died from a massive heart attack watching it on TV…

My wife loves figure skating, so every once in awhile I watch it too.
