    Hobbes looks so cuddly in the older strips—later he was much more streamlined and cooler.

    Judging by the crescent moon, these two are star-gazing a couple of hours before dawn. Likely Mom and Dad don’t know this. Hobbes could be right.

    The Sun is a star that will control our destinies if we’re still here when it becomes a red giant in about 5 billion years.I always liked seeing the International Space Station (or Mir before that) and a departing space shuttle a few hours after they undocked, when you could see one following the other if they made a visible pass over you.
